Community Care

Improving Community Health

January of 2024 saw the inauguration of the Phoebe Project. This donor-funded program provides microloans to women entrepreneurs in our partners churches. It is governed by a collaborative of church leadership and aims to build the church by building the economic potential of the families. Consider how you might give to bring hope to families through supporting women!

Sustainable and ethical improvements in health require a continued presence on the ground. While the permanent buildings are under construction, community health is already taking place. Community health workers conduct biweekly screenings for our patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension.

Health Education and Programs for Local Communities

A big part of HCHC’s mission of holistic ministry is to promote health education and wellness programs for at-risk populations in the Ivory Coast and throughout West Africa.

These programs are designed to encourage preventive health measures and create better health outcomes, particularly for women and children with preventable and treatable diseases who otherwise have limited access to care.

The Hope Center’s staff will demonstrate the values of mercy and compassion as we work alongside local communities to identify their specific needs and design sustainable solutions.

In particular, our work will serve Christ by focusing on the prevention of common illnesses in the region through education and empowerment training, which can save thousands of lives every year.

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”
